ATV Driver Requirements

• No previous ATV or canyoning experience is required.
• Our guides provide clear instructions and a short ATV driving practice before the tour begins
• Drivers must present a valid physical driver’s license to operate the ATV.

• Moderate physical activity is required during the canyoning experience.
• Participants should be in good general health.

Health & Safety

• River jumps during canyoning are optional.
• Not recommended for guests who are pregnant or who have recent arm or leg injuries.

How long does the ATV & La Roca Canyoning Combo tour take?

The full experience lasts approximately 5 to 6 hours, including transportation, the 2-hour ATV adventure, and the La Roca canyoning tour with waterfall rappelling and rainforest exploration.

Do I need previous experience for the ATV or canyoning activities?

No previous experience is required. Before each activity, our professional guides provide a full safety briefing and explain how to use the equipment. For the ATV portion, participants will also have a short practice drive to get comfortable before starting the tour.

Can two people ride on the same ATV?

Yes. We offer both single ATVs for one rider and double ATVs for two people, allowing couples, friends, or family members to share the ride during the tour

What is the minimum age to drive an ATV?

Participants must be 16 years or older to drive their own ATV. Children 8 years and older can join the experience when riding with an adult on a double ATV.

What happens if it rains during the tour?

Tours operate rain or shine, as weather conditions are common in the Arenal region. Light rain often adds to the experience, but in case of unsafe conditions, guides may adjust the itinerary to ensure a safe and enjoyable tour.
